CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) — Students at a Chesapeake large university are hoping to remedy busing issues via creative imagination.

This month, Samsung awarded a team from Terrific Bridge Large School $50,000 for their notion to take care of delayed busing routes.

Now, the learners are hoping to get $10,000 far more by successful the “community selection vote.”

It’s section of their 12th yearly Clear up for Tomorrow levels of competition, which encourages public faculty learners to occur up with methods to challenges in their community.

The idea blossomed back in the fall when Carter, who rides the bus to school, was continually late for Labbe’s 1st block course.

Kersha hopes the college will be able to use the app after it is comprehensive.

“It’s already hard coming back again to university after the pandemic. Kids becoming late and lacking instruction is not serving to the situation. If kids are on time, it gives them an equivalent option,” she mentioned.
